CHALLENGE

Capture heat energy during times of reduced load for use later.

SOLUTION

• Install a storage or accumulator tank.
• Install Tranter SUPERCHANGER Plate And Frame Heat Exchangers in isolation loops using the accumulated steam and at the same time protecting the primary heat transfer equipment.

RESULTS

• Efficient use of accumulated steam.
• Maximum utilization–SUPERCHANGER Plate And Frame exchangers can handle temperature approaches of less than 1°C (2°F), with “U” or “K “ values 3 to 6 times higher than shell and tube exchangers.
