Job Summary:

Under general supervision, provides technical guidance for directing and monitoring information systems operations.

Accountabilities:

  • Responsible for providing support to the Americas region
  • Ensure installations and support activities meet requirements of Tranter and end user.
  • Follow and achieve IT key metrics
  • Help drive the lean enterprise system in IT processes
  • Follow HSE (Health, Safety and Environment) and related work instructions and assist implementation of HSE regulations and policies

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Administer networked workstations, servers and thin-clients, utilizing Windows and Linux operating systems.
  • Evaluate and/or recommend purchases of computers, network hardware, peripheral equipment, and software; and may act as I.T. purchaser.
  • Investigate user problems, identify their source, determine possible solutions, test, implement, and document solutions.
  • Install, configure, and maintain personal computers, Windows networks, file servers, Ethernet networks, Wi-Fi networks, switches, routers, network cabling, and other related equipment, devices, and systems; adds or upgrades and configures printers, peripherals, and related equipment.
  • Record and maintain hardware and software inventories, site/server and application licensing and renewals; and user access and security.
  • Plans and implements network security, including firewalls, cryptography, managing host security, file permissions, backup and restore systems, file system integrity, and adding and deleting user accounts including networks and/or e-mail.
  • Troubleshoot networks, systems, and applications to identify and correct malfunctions and other operational difficulties.
  • Administrator and maintain communication systems including, but not limited to, e-mail, websites and telephony.
  • Develop and conduct various training and instruction for system users on operating systems, Office application, and other applications; assist users in maximizing use of networks and computing systems.
  • Identify utilization patterns and their effect on operation/system availability and performance expectations.
  • Anticipate communication and networking problems and implement preventive measures.
  • Establish and perform maintenance and software updates to programs following company and vendor standards.
  • Effectively use remote sessions to support off-site users.
  • Ensure timely user notification of maintenance requirements and effects on system availability.
  • Investigate, recommend and install enhancements and operating procedures that optimize network availability.
  • Maintain confidentiality with regard to the information being processed, stored or accessed by the network.
  • Answer staff questions on all company supported applications and hardware.
  • Document resolutions for future reference. 
  • Other duties as assigned.

Skills/Competencies required:

  • Possess the ability to effectively communicate with internal business partners, both orally and in writing. English preferred (bi-lingual a plus).

Education, Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor / University Degree required
  • Two years of experience in information services, computer systems, or directly related
  • A+ and Network+ Certification preferred

Position Physical Activity Requirements:

  • Work is primarily conducted in an office setting and requires the use of computer equipment.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively face-to-face, over the phone and in writing.
  • Must be able to drive and travel by commercial airlines.
  • Must be able to move throughout the company’s facilities to interact with employees in their work environment.

Office Manager, Tulare, CA

Job Summary:


  • Manage the office administrative activities of the site/location so that administrative staff, equipment, supplies, and other resources are used effectively and economically.

Accountabilities:


  • Act as a liaison between the customer and Tranter, Inc. in communicating any expediting, shipping instructions, and inspection requirements.
  • Meet or exceed service center key metrics
  • Responds  quickly;  establishes  & maintains  effective  relationships  with customers; delivers  results that  meet customer  expectations
  • "Customer  First" experience  but not at the expense  of the companyActively participate in company meetings, suggesting better methods to handle current service center processes and improve the use of company resources
  • Help drive the lean enterprise system in Service Center processes
  • Follow HSE (Health, Safety and Environment) and related work instructions and assist implimentation of HSE regulations and policies

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Manage the day-to-day operations of a variety of office services to ensure the organization's administrative needs are met. 
  • Administration of sales order entry; purchasing, invoicing; accounts receivable; accounts payable; customer service 
  • Inventory control, accuracy, & stock replenishment of raw materials, finished goods, and MRO supplies 
  • Master production planning of service center operations
  • Lead & maintain integrity of all office systems
  • Human resource document control; record retention; & training 
  • Maintain order files on Buy/Resell items 
  • Document preparation & scheduling for shipment of sold goods
  • Liaise with managers and human resources to ensure office administration policies, programs, and activities are appropriate for their needs. 
  • May assist operations management with planning, prioritizing, and managing maintenance activities and upgrades to equipment, facilities, and systems to minimize disruptions to business activities. 
  • May assist in researching, evaluating, and recommending office supplies and equipment purchases to minimize costs and meet the organization's business needs. 
  • Select and manage relationships with suppliers to ensure satisfactory standards of service. 
  • Lead, direct, evaluate, and develop a team of para-professional staff.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Skills/Competencies required:


  • Highly organized individual with strong problem solving skill-set
  • Requires ability to navigate a computerized data entry system or other relevant applications.
  • Familiar with Mapics, SAP or ERP type operating systems
  • Capability to respond quickly, decisively, assertively, and professionally to changing requirements in customers’ expectations, requirements and other discrepancies created through the service center operation processes
  • Effectively communicate with internal and external business partners, both orally and in writing. English preferred (bi-lingual a plus).

Education, Qualifications and Experience:


  • Associate Degree in Accounting or Business Managernent

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
