GD Double Wall Plates

A plate heat exchanger with double-wall plates works in the same way as a conventional exchanger. The difference is that each plate consists of two identical plates laser-welded together around the four portholes. This provides double security against the mixing of media with each other – even in the event of leakage. Applications: pharmaceutical industry, food industry, district heating, cooling of transformer oil, etc. 

 

Even if medium 1 should leak, it can not mix with medium 2. The leak will be clearly visible outside the exchanger.

Double wall option is availible on the following PHEs´:
GX-7 (GD-7), GL-13 (GD-13), GC-16 (GD-16), GX-26 (GD-26) and GX-42 (GD-42).
